It was the TV presenter Michael Steinbrecher who had the idea
of inviting political and cultural celebrities to "stop by" in a transparent
house next to the runway at Frankfurt Airport. It was to be a house which
would offer a striking experience of the unusual environment. This was a very
special challenge for the DAVINCI House team: we had to take the unique location
into account, but at the same time we had to meet the technical requirements
for a "television house". In areas such as sound insulation, room acoustics,
air conditioning and camera requirements – to mention just a few –
optimum solutions had to be designed and implemented down to the very last
detail. The result is something to be proud of: a unique house which offers
an exclusive atmosphere for special meetings. The house is now owned by the
airport operating company Fraport AG and is used as a VIP centre. (ZDF is
